Dr. Mehmet Taskiran

Mehmet Taşkıran is the lecturer of Biology in the Faculty of Science at Erciyes University, where he has taught since 2011. He regularly teaches animal physiology, invertebrate animals, vertebrate animals, occasionally cytology and histology. He received his doctorate in 2016 (Thesis topic: Effect of Serotonin on Penicillin-induced Epileptiform Activity), the master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from Erciyes University. His research has focussed on the mechanism of epilepsy in animal models. He has translated, co-edited and published a book: “Animal Behavior” (In: M.D. Breed & J. Moore, 2011, published in 2015). His research areas related with neurophysiology, electrophysiology, epilepsy and models, neurological disorders, neurotransmitters and inflammation.
