He is an Anglo-German human (economic, political and development) geographer, with a natural / environmental / life science education also. He teaches at all levels in the human-environment interface, from Foundation Level to Masters levels, and do supervise Doctoral students and Post-Doc researchers too. He has mostly worked in Europe (including in Central and Eastern and Scandinavian / Nordic Europe), but have some experience of South East Asia and North America too. In the last decade, He has also been becoming involved more closely with disaster management and integrated emergency planning and response.
